The New York Jets have announced that they have signed third-round draft choice RB Shonn Greene. Greene, 5'11", 227 lbs, from Iowa was selected at #65 overall. In his final collegiate season, he set the school single-season record with 1,850 yards on 307 carries (6.0 yards/carry), and scored 20 TDs. The terms of Greene's contract were not disclosed.

The New York Jets concluded their 3-day mini-camp on Thursday with a 2-hour practice session. The weather once again could have been better but the team nevertheless chose to practice outside to the delight of a few hundred fans.

The New York Jets have announced that they signed their first round draft pick QB Mark Sanchez to a 5-year deal. The contract is reportedly worth around $50M, which includes $28M in guaranteed money.
RB Leon Washington is back with the team today and participating in offseason workout program. According to his agent, Alvin Keels, "Leon is excited about finishing the off-season program off strong and is very much "hopeful" that we can come to terms on a fair market deal."
