The New York Jets have announced that they have signed third-round draft choice RB Shonn Greene. Greene, 5'11", 227 lbs, from Iowa was selected at #65 overall. In his final collegiate season, he set the school single-season record with 1,850 yards on 307 carries (6.0 yards/carry), and scored 20 TDs. The terms of Greene's contract were not disclosed.
So, the Jets have now signed all their three draft choices: QB Mark Sanchez, RB Shonn Greene, and OL Matt Slauson. All of them will be in training camp, which is scheduled to begin late July in Cortland, NY.
