Jets resume their free fall in power rankings

Admin - November 17, 2009

Following their fifth loss in the last six games, the New York Jets resumed their fall down the NFL Power Rankings. ESPN had them down 3 spots (from #18 to #21). CBS Sports moved them down 2 spots (from #16 to #18). Meanwhile, FOX Sports had the Jets as their biggest loser of the week - 6 points (from #14 to #20).

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  Things are so bad for the Jets nowadays they can't even let Maurice Jones-Drew score when they want.

FOX Sports: Funny, but there hasn't been a lot of tough talk coming from Rex Ryan lately. Oh, you mean the Jets have lost five of their last six games? That would silence anyone. The Jets technically have time to rebound, but in reality the last-second home loss to the beatable Jaguars is a major missed opportunity for New York — especially looking down the road at the final three games of the season vs. the Falcons, Colts and Bengals.

CBS Sports: If they don't win this week at New England, which won't be easy, they can kiss the playoffs goodbye. Were they overrated at 3-0? Yes.
