QB Kellen Clemens will start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, as QB Mark Sanchez is unable to play due to his sprained right knee, head coach Rex Ryan announced today. Ryan added that he made the decision not to have Sanchez play after seeking the advice of team doctors.
Clemens will make his ninth NFL start and first since 2007. He threw 5 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2007 while replacing QB Chad Pennington.

the jets had better have a good running game.because depending on clemens to replace sanchez,is not the answer for a team that is in the playoff race.

i think the fact that we are playing tampa bay was a big factor in this decision
