Following their third win in a row, the New York Jets moved up in power rankings on two of the three major sports websites. Both ESPN and CBS Sports had the Gang Green at #16 in their latest power rankings (up from #19 and #18 respectively). Fox Sports, on the other hand, unexpectedly lowered the Jets' position from #19 to #21.
Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:
ESPN: The Jets' playoff hopes could be helped if the Colts and the Bengals rest their starters in final two weeks.
FOX Sports: Of all the AFC playoff hopefuls, the Jets have the worst remaining schedule — vs. ATL (6-7), at IND (13-0), vs. CIN (9-4) = 28-11 (.718). Aside from this week's obvious must-win at home, Jets fans had better hope that both Indy and Cincy have nothing to play for in the final two weeks other than avoiding playoff-threatening injuries.
CBS Sports: They have a tough closing schedule, but helping might be the Colts clinching the No. 1 seed and the Bengals maybe playing for nothing in the final week.
