The New York Jets have signed 4th round draft selection RB Joe McKnight to a 4-year deal worth around $2.36M. McKnight, 5'11", 194lbs, was selected 112th overall by the Jets in the April draft. He played in 36 games, including 13 starts, during his 3 seasons at USC.

The New York Jets concluded their mini camp today with a practice at the New Meadowlands Stadium. Around 12,000 fans reportedly attended this morning's session, which exceeds 7,000 that attended the Giants' practice earlier this week. NT Kris Jenkins, who missed most of last season due to injury, and disgruntled CB Darrelle Revis both participated in the practice session. Although Jenkins appeared to be held off in all contact drills, he did spend some time entertaining the fans.
CB Darrelle Revis, who skipped a voluntary practice last Thursday because he was unhappy with his contract negotiations, rejoined the Jets on Tuesday for their next-to-last offseason practice. The All-Pro cornerback is looking for a long-term extension with a salary that would make him the highest paid player at his position.
The New York Jets signed 5th round pick FB John Conner to a 4-year, $1.99M deal that included a $199,000 signing bonus today. The contract has an escalator in the fourth year that could make the value of the deal worth $2.73M.
According to the Sporting News, the Jets might actually benefit if CB Darrelle Revis, who skipped yesterday's OTA, holds out from non-voluntary practice sessions. Revis' original contract voids after the 2010 season, the Gang Green can buy back the 2011 and 2012 seasons for $5M and $15M, respectively - and that money is guaranteed. However, if Revis holds out, he will lose the guaranteed money, giving the Jets some leverage in negotiating a new deal.

According to a league source, CB Darrelle Revis held out of Thursday's offseason training activity because he is unhappy with the progress of talks to rework his contract. He is set to make $1M in the fourth year of the six-year deal he signed as a rookie, but recently stated that he expects to make more than $15.2M a year, which is what Oakland CB Nnamdi Asomugha makes, as he wants to be the highest-paid cornerback in the game.
