Jets Fall In Power Rankings

Just like last season we'll be following NFL power rankings on the top three sports websites - ESPN, FOX Sports and CBS Sports. Following their loss against the Baltimore Ravens, the Gang Green dropped on all three websites. ESPN has them at #11 (down from #9), FOX Sports has them at #6 (down from #4), and CBS Sports put the Jets at #17 (down from #12 a week ago).

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  So much for talk. The "Ground and Pound" offense looked like bad hamburger against Ravens.

FOX Sports: You have to be kidding. The Jets only had six first downs and 74 yards passing against the Ravens! The ground and pound philosophy on offense simply did not work against the Ravens. It will be interesting to see how they respond to that loss against the division rival Patriots.

CBS Sports: They just can't throw the ball well enough to win consistently. Limit teams to 10 all you want. They need to score more. Period. Is Joe Namath still hanging around?

ESPN 9 11
FOX Sports 4 6
CBS Sports 12 17
