Jets are back in power rankings top 3

Admin - November 16, 2010

The New York Jets slowly but surely continued their rise in NFL power rankings, as they are now back in the top 3 on all three major sports websites. After lowering their stock a week ago despite the win against the Lions, ESPN put the Gang Green at #3 (up from #5 last week). CBS Sports has them at #2 (up from #4 a week ago). Finally, FOX Sports has the Jets as their #1 team in the NFL (up from #2 last week).

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  Rex Ryan had to go overtime against Eric Mangini, but at least the Jets pulled out the win.

FOX Sports: Here you go. The Jets are ranked at No. 1 this week. That could change soon because the NFL is truly a week-to-week league. Out of all the teams I considered for this spot, the Jets are the one team to have shown they are deserving of being here. We'll see if they can sustain that success going forward. If they can't, I guess I'll continue to be the kiss of death.

CBS Sports: The best thing about their season so far: They are 5-0 on the road. It hasn't been easy the past two weeks, but they're finding a way.
