Mangold injured but will play on Monday, Moore is back

All-Pro C Nick Mangold suffered a stinger during yesterday's practice session and is day-to-day. He said he expected to play in preseason opener against the Texans on Monday. During the live, goal-line portion of practice, Mangold fell to the ground after a play in which RB Shonn Greene dove over the top of the pile. He was down on hands and knees for a couple of minutes but then walked off the field under his own power.

Meanwhile, OG Brandon Moore, who started training camp on the PUP list, was added to the active roster. In order to make room for Moore, the Jets waived C Taylor Boggs. Moore will participate in individual drills later today but will not suit up for Monday's game as he doesn't feel 100%. He started that he targets the season opener against Dallas as his return to the starting lineup. Moore, 31, has started in every game for the Jets since 2005.

UPDATE: WR Plaxico Burress, who's been limited in training camp due to an ankle injury, will not play on Monday against the Texans.
