Power Rankings: Jets crash out of top 10

Admin - October 4, 2011

After being in the top 5 only two weeks ago, the New York Jets are now out of the top 10 in the latest power rankings released by the three biggest sports websites. ESPN dropped the Gang Green 7 spots down - from #7 to #14. FOX Sports was the most generous one of the three, as they lowered the Jets' stock by only 3 positions - from #10 to #13. Finally, Pete Prisco of CBS Sports, a well known Jets hater, put the Jets at #19 (down from #11 a week ago).

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  Jets coach Rex Ryan says "ground and pound" is making a comeback. But can the Jets still do it?

FOX Sports: You will never hear it from the Jets, but Rex Ryan has to have some serious questions regarding his QB, O-line and the entire offensive game plan going into the Ravens game. Good news: The defense held a hot Ravens offense to minimal gains.

CBS Sports: They can't throw it well enough and they don't rush the passer. Other than that, they're fine.
