Jets solidify their position in top 10

Admin - December 14, 2011

For the first time since week 3 the New York Jets are now in the top 10 of all three power rankings, while their cumulative position is the highest since week 4. ESPN put the Gang Green one spot up from #11 to #10. CBS Sports followed ESPN's suit, moving the Jets from #11 up to #10 as well. Finally, FOX Sports kept them at #9, just like a week ago.

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  After three straight wins, the Jets control their own playoff destiny in the AFC.

FOX Sports: It didn't start out well for the Jets on Sunday. They were forced to use a timeout on their very first offensive play from scrimmage, but the other 65 seemed to go their way. Sanchez didn't put up a ton of yardage, but he did account for four touchdowns in the Jets' 37-10 win over the Chiefs. The Jets now control their wild-card fate with an 8-5 record.

CBS Sports: They have turned their season around -- even if the schedule has helped a lot -- but face a tough game at Philadelphia this week.
