Jets look to bounce back in power rankings

Admin - November 6, 2012

We missed last week's edition of Power Rankings due to Hurricane Sandy, but here's we are again, back on track, with the latest rankings from the top five football websites. ESPN, ProFootballTalk and ProFootballWeekly all kept the Gang Green right where they were a week ago - #25, #26 and #21 respectively. FOX Sports lowered the Jets' position from #22 to #23, and finally CBS Sports had them 3 spots down - from #24 to #27.

Here's what all these websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN: The Jets are 3-8 since Week 15 of last season, which is tied for third worst in the NFL over that span.

FOX Sports: The Jets will come off their bye week and hit on the road for back-to-back games. First up, the always-challenging, cross-country trip to Seattle -- as if the Jets need any more challenges.

CBS Sports: They come off the bye with two road games and a chance to turn their season around. If not, jobs will be lost.

ProFootballTalk: How bad are the Jets?  They didn’t play this week, and no one noticed.

ProFootballWeekly: A trip to Seattle is far from a cure for an ailing offense.

The Jets have been falling in power rankings for 3 weeks in a row and will look to bounce back this Sunday in Seattle, as they take on the Seahawks (5-4). The current line has Seattle favored by 6.5 points. You can place a bet on this game and many others at various online casinos, however if you’re looking for a break from the sports or can’t decide who best to place your money on then head over to http://www.luckynuggetcasino.com to enjoy a wide variety of casino games from blackjack and baccarat to poker. Sometimes it can be much easier to hold your poker face when getting a winning hand than to take a pick between two teams, if for nothing else than the fact that you have control rather than the men on the pitch. The great thing is you can do this whilst watching the Jets right from your mobile phone. Currently the Jets are 59-54 against the spread since 1992 when they are an underdog of 3.5 to 9.5 points. If you aren’t confident of the outcome then maybe a stint at the poker table is in order after all – we don’t want you to tempt fate by betting against the Jets.
