Jets take another dive in power rankings

Admin - November 15, 2012

Following the blowout loss in Seattle, the Gang Green's stock took another hit in power rankings, as they have dropped out of the top 25 in four out of five polls. ESPN moved them from #25 to #26, while both FOX Sports and CBS Sports placed them at #27. ProFootballTalk lowered the Jets' position from #26 to #28. Finally, the biggest hit came from ProFootball Weekly, who placed Rex Ryan's team at #25 (down from #21 a week ago). The Jets have been falling in power rankings for 4 weeks in a row and a couple more losses will defiitely result in dropping out of the top 30, for the first time in recent history.

Here's what all these websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN: The Jets, who next play the Rams in St. Louis, are 3-10 in their past 13 road games, allowing an average of 27 points in those games.

FOX Sports: Let me make this clear, I am not a fan of Tim Tebow's skill set as an NFL quarterback, but he has proven that he can win at this level. If you aren't going to play him, whether it be as a full-time starter or even in specialized packages, then why did you bring him to town in the first place?

CBS Sports: Is Tebow Time coming? One more loss, and it could be. And maybe then it should be.

ProFootballTalk: The vote of confidence from Woody Johnson should be coming any day now.

ProFootballWeekly: Brass seems to understand that not even Tebow can save the offense.
