The New York Jets finally made a move in free agency, as they signed RT Breno Giacomini, a former starting right tackle for the Seattle Seahawks. The Gang Green had to fill the void at right tackle after free agent RT Austin Howard signed with the Raiders.

Giacomini, 28, was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 5th round of the 2008 NFL draft. In 2010 he was signed by the Seattle Seahawks from the Packers practice squad. Seattle later released him but then re-signed in 2011. Giacomini played in 15 games in 2011 and started in 8. He then started in every game of the 2012 season. Giacomini started in 9 games during the 2013 season, missing 7 games (weeks 4-10) while recovering from knee surgery.

Last year Giacomini was ranked #41 among right tackles by ProFootballFocus. Howard was ranked #47 by the same source.
