Jets acquire Percy Harvin from Seattle

Admin - October 17, 2014

The New York Jets acquired WR Percy Harvin from the Seattle Seahawks for a conditional draft pick that will range from a second- to fourth-round pick. Harvin, 26, is a former first round draft pick who was rather impressive in the first three seasons with the Vikings. He was traded to Seattle in 2013 and missed almost an entire season due to an injury. Harvin came back in time for the playoffs and returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the Super Bowl.

In 2014 Harvin played in 5 games for the Seahawks, catching 22 passes for 133 yards. He has battled a thigh injury and was listed as questionable for the Seahawks' game against the Rams this weekend.

The struggling Jets offense could really use Harvin's skills, but the biggest question is whether he can stay healthy and actually play. He also brings a $10.5M base salary, which is definitely something the Gang Green could use in next year's free agency.
