Power rankings: Jets move back up after beating Miami

Admin - December 3, 2015

After snapping their losing streak with a win against the Miami Dolphins, the New York Jets jumped back up in most power rankings, stopping just short of the top 10. ESPN ranked them the highest, at #12 (up from #16 last week). Both FOX Sports and CBS Sports placed them at #13 (up from #17 and #18 respectively). Pro Football Talk weren't particularly impressed, putting the Gang Green at #15, which is only one spot up compared to last week. Finally, Yahoo Sports inexplicably lowered the Jets' ranking from #12 to #14.

Here's what the power rankings websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN: After a four-touchdown effort Sunday, Ryan Fitzpatrick has 20 for the season. If he averages two per game over the final five, he'll set the Jets' single-season touchdown record (29, Vinny Testaverde).

FOX Sports: Just when we thought the wheels were falling off for the offense, Ryan Fitzpatrick became the first Jets quarterback in 13 years to throw for four touchdowns and no interceptions.

CBS Sports: Their season could be on the line against the Giants. They will need another big game from Ryan Fitzpatrick.

ProFootballTalk: Stephen Ross no longer owns the Dolphins; the Jets do.

Yahoo Sports: Ryan Fitzpatrick will never be allowed to grow The Beard again now that the Jets have broken out of their slump.
