In the earlier part of his career, New York Jets wide receiver Andre Roberts was a serviceable pass-catcher for the Arizona Cardinals and Washington Redskins. His best season was 2012 when he hauled in 64 passes for 759 yards and 5 touchdowns with the Cardinals.

The 2018 NFL draft was loaded with talent at the QB position as indicated by two QBs taken with the first three picks and five taken in the first round overall. The five first rounders included Baker Mayfield from Oklahoma (#1 pick – Cleveland Browns), Sam Darnold from USC (#3 pick – New York Jets), Josh Allen from Wyoming (#7 pick – Buffalo Bills), Josh Rosen from UCLA (#10 pick – Arizona Cardinals) and Lamar Jackson from Louisville (#32 pick – Baltimore Ravens).

After starting out the season at 3-3, the New York Jets hit the skids, which resulted in a 6-game losing streak heading into week 14. Sitting at 3-9 and no chance of making the playoffs, the team could have easily decided to simply play out the string and hope for better next year. Sam Darnold knows what it's like to be on the sidelines and out of the action. Not by choice, mind you, but due primarily to an injury to his right foot that gave the third-overall pick in the draft a taste of what it's like to hold a clipboard and watch another do the very thing that has made him the latest football messiah in Gotham. After a three-game layoff, all Jets' losses, Darnold was back and the results were markedly different as New York bested their intrastate and divisional rival from Buffalo by the score of 27-23.

Bowles' Same Old Jets find a way to lose sixth straight

It was yet another game to forget, just like entire Todd Bowles' tenure with the Jets. Even when the Gang Green took a 16-0 lead in the second quarter, most of us just couldn't help but think that the Same Old Jets would still find a way to lose. And they sure did. As the Jets had to settle for one field goal after another, the Titans slowly but surely kept cutting the Gang Green's advantage before eventually taking the lead with 36 seconds remaining in the game. Then, it was the expected Same Old Jets interception to end yet another disgraceful performance.
