The New York Jets are hosting their first free agents this offseason - S Brodney Pool (Browns) and CB Marlin Jackson (Colts). The Jets, who have recently gotten rid of S Kerry Rhodes, CB Donald Strickland and CB Lito Sheppard, lack depth in their secondary and we should expect more free agent defensive backs in Florham Park in the coming days.

If another team makes a bid to sign Washington and the Jets decline to match the offer, the Gang Green would receive a second-round pick.

Contrary to various reports that the Jets might be interested in troubled CB Adam "Pacman" Jones, the New York Daily News reports that the Jets have no desire to deal with the 25-year old cornerback who's had various legal issues throughout his career. Besides Jones' unpredictable behavior, signing him would make little sense as the Gang Green are pretty much set at cornerback where they have Darrelle Revis and recently acquired Lito Sheppard as their starters.
