Hey, don't be dumping on my man d'Arnaud. He's been pretty consistently good since he's been back. :D

Went to the game last night . I have never seen such a small crowd for a Braves game . It was like being in church for most of the night . Thank god for Gee .

with the Stanley Cup playoffs fairly recently ended, and the World Cup coming to a close, the Mets will be the only show in town for me until training camp opens. Thanks god they're showing some life.

Do you believe the Mets will beat the other side in this match?

This team has been enjoyable to watch. I hope they can keep up the good player after the All-Star break.

Looks like Sandy made the right call with Duda over Ike. Duda isnt anything great but he's seems to be productive enough for us to not need to target 1B this offseason.

I really hope we make a move for Castro (SS) on th cubs. They just got onof the best SS prospects when trading shark to Oakland so Castro could be expendable for them.

deGrom might be the real deal.

If the trade involves Wheeler then Id pass. And that seems to be the only rumor out there. Id ditch off Montero and/or Gee for him but that's it.

I was feeling good for a little while there prior to the Allstar game. That didn't last long because a feeling of despair has already washed over me.

The players decided they don't want to be in the playoff race and they want some veterans to go bye bye.

Agreed. I think Wheeler is going to be a very nice number 2 or 3 with the stuff to throw a bunch of gems. Could be a 15 game winner.

    deGrom is looking fantastic, btw.

    Loving me some deGrom.

The way he has pitched has made Gee and Niese very expendable. To me either of those guys could get us a pretty solid bat back.

I think you gotta keep Niese the lefty. And unfortunately I don't think you're getting a lot for Gee.

But I agree we have to gets some bats soon.

Yeah Niese being the lefty makes things complicated. Would be weird to go into next season with 5 RHP's as a rotation.

But in a deadline where AJ Burnett seems to be the prize for SP's , it makes me believe Sandy could get more value from one of those guys then if he shopped em in the offseason. A team like the O's , Jays or Giants could offer a lot. Supposedly Colon to San Fran was close to happening last night but the Mets didnt want to take on any $$.

Haven't been on the net all day and haven't heard any radio and am watching the replay now and Colon just gave up his perfect game in the 7th :D

We should definitely get something for him.
