God I hope this game draws a huge rating. Give the NFL an incentive to make this the norm. Its only fair considering on the east coast both our MNF, SNF, and TNF are ending past midnight while on the west coast its ending at 9. And like I told the west coast peeps, dont like it? tough.....I wish SNF was ending at 9 rather midnight, so now its your turn to wake up at 6 o clock in the morning if you want to watch games.
6:30 am on the left coast... I like that there will be a game on in the morning personally. Would be more stoked if the Falcons didn't suck so much, which would make it a better match-up.
Yes, preseason, but was still fun. Cool that we both still remember it. Can't believe that was 11+ years ago. I remember enjoying getting up and watching.
I actually had to look it up! I didn't watch. I guess I wasn't paying attention to preseason back then.
Like ive been saying though, the NFL is using this as a test dummy, if this gets good ratings both FOX and CBS will become interested in doing this more often. Lets face it NFL > whatever show they the have on at 9:30. Its like last year when the Raiders-Chargers game got put into the midnight time slot by accident (they screwed up the schedule and were not prepared for the A's to host a playoff game on that date), which proceeded to guys like Jerry Jones saying they would look into. Luckily the game did not draw well but lets see how this game does this weekend. If it does do good then no doubt all of the London games will be at 9:30 a.m. next season. All 4 of them? which will slowly grow imo, kinda like TNF which only had a few games when it started, to now the entire season. (including championship opener and Thanksgiving)
Try my tried and true method. Go out drinking the night before and stay up until 6am. When you wake up in the AM have morning sex until you pass out again. Rise lord vader style at the crack of noonish. Go get pizza and a beer, preferably somewhere with the game on so you can watch the 2nd half of the 1pm games. You should be functionally awake and fed by the time the 4pm games come on.
Same here. Getting drunk at a Las Vegas Sportsbookie for cheap and watch all the games at the same time is pretty pretty sweet.
The real issue here is Calvin Johnson. They better not wait until sunday at 6am to say if he is active.
So who liked the 9:30 AM game concept and who didn't? It was really nice to watch football while waiting for the Jets game.
