Bret Baier on fox did a report on this , if you already knew about this or this is posted elsewhere then disregard . Go google Bret Baier flashlight app report or as I said someone please post the link ! Basically the top ten flashlight apps contain spyware and can giveaway all your info from credit crds to bank statements to contacts and you would not know . It's a must see segment as I know many people have these apps on their phones especially kids
Byz ,,,,my phone has a flash for photos and a light for my camera or video but no flashlight,,,,,both kids have flashlights built into their phones,,,,,that report is scary stuff
I refuse to do any kind of banking from my phone. I don't have my credit card or bank hooked up to it and won't. If I really want to download a game that's not free I get an app card.
Yea, most of the flashlight apps are made by the Chinese so don't be surprised when the Chinese government has your information. But really, look at what you lets most apps have anyway. I mean, why does a game need to know who you call, who calls you, etc. etc.?
Hmmm..... I downloaded one on my phone simply because it works better than the stock one. I was always wondering wondering why it would want cell data access (I don't allow it for any apps, unless it's something that needs to access updated / streaming data). But then again I pretty much use my phone to talk and text and barely use it beyond that...... I wouldve taken a Jerry Jones flip-phone if they gave me one for free.
There are shady apps out there but read what it's going to access whenever u install. If I get an app and it says it needs access all this info for no reason...well..
