We rejected a trade OTC in round 1. Cowboys were desperate for Paxton Lynch, offered #34 and #67 for #20. The Jets loved Lee so they turned it down. Jerry Jones came out with a quote kicking himself for "not overpaying" for his guy. I wish he would've. Would you guys have taken 34-67?

Source: Peter King in MMQB (he was in the Cowboys war room).

Sounds great to me. With 34 we could have still gotten a great LB and there was plenty of talent available at 67 as well. I think we probably could have gotten them to kick in a low round pick or a player if we wanted to.

I would have taken Shepard or Deion Jones with #34 and Clark at #67. Dang

I would've pulled the trigger on that trade, only if he gives me one or 2 more picks in 2017 and we are absolutely set.

I give the draft this draft an A+.

I'm speaking about the draft as a form of entertainment not whether or not I like the Jets pick.

The first non qb to be picked was Bosa. I don't see how Boss is a good fit in SD and I don't recall a single mock that had him going there. Whaaa?!?!?

Jerry picks a RB after swearing that anyone could run behind his line.

Of course watching Tunsil and Jack fall was a blast. When Chicago traded up, I congratulated the guy next to me on winning the Tunsil lottery but they went with Floyd instead.

It was a blast to see it all go down in person but I suspect is was just as much fun to watch at home.

    A+

No, I wouldn't have pulled that trigger. The Bronco's gave up a 1st and a 3rd to move up 5 spots, the Cowboys were offering their 2nd and third to move up 14 spots, or about 1/2 the board. I know on the draft point chart that's a fair deal but I wouldn't drop that far, and out of the first round, for less than a 2nd, and 5th or future 4th. overpayment? sure, but you want the QB and you want to move up 14 slots.

Wow, are you kidding, a 2nd 3rd for a mid 1st..wow Jerry really saw us coming didn't he? We should have just taken Lynch ourselves and time will tell if that's right.

He played in at least 10 games and made no impact. His rookie year was a wash now let's see what he does in the 2nd half of the season.

If I was the Jets I would not break my arm patting myself on the back over that pick just yet. Eric Kendriks, La'el Collins, Randy Gregory and others could have been taken there or even allowed us to trade down for more picks.

I wouldn't include Gregory in there. He's on his way to a suspension and maybe out of the league in a year or two. Collins was a coup by the Cowboys. Got him using no draft choice.
