Jets Lose to Buffalo

Ignoring a 17-0 deficit, Buffalo stormed back in the second half to defeat the Jets 20-17 in the season opener. Matt Snell and Cornell Gordon sidelined with knee injuries.

Boozer Injured

Emerson Boozer was lost to the team with torn ligaments in his knee at Kansas City. Boozer was on his way to a pro TD record with ten rushing and three receiving at the time.

First Winning Season

Jets beat Boston 29-24 to clinch their first winning season in history.

Jets Lose to Oakland

December 24, 1967
Jets lost to Oakland 38-29 on the West Coast and saw their chances for a title evaporate. Houston beat Miami the next Saturday to clinch the crown.

Namath Sets Passing Record

Joe Namath passes for 343 yards to finish season with 4,007 yards, the only pro to go over the 4,000-yard mark in a 14-game season.

Jets Sell Out All Home Games
