According to various reports, the New York Jets have agreed on a contract extension with FS Kerry Rhodes. The 5-year extension is for $33.5M, including $20M in guaranteed money.
Rhodes, 25, is entering his 4th season in the NFL. He had a year left on his rookie contract and would have become an unrestricted free agent after this season. Rhodes has 273 tackles, 8.0 sacks, 10 interceptions and 6 forced fumbles in three seasons and has been a starter since being drafted in the fourth round out of Louisville in 2005.
