The New York Jets played basically a mistake free game, as they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals on the road, 24-14, and are through to the Divisional Playoffs. Both rookies, QB Mark Sanchez and RB Shonn Greene, played pivotal roles in this great win. Sanchez, battling both single degree wind chills and playoff pressure, performed admirably. He completed 12 of 15 passes for 182 yards, 1 TD and 0 INT. He became the first rookie quarterback who completed over 70% of his passes in a playoff game. Greene ran for 135 yards on 21 carries (6.4 yards per carry) and scored the first Jets' touchdown on a 39-yard run in the second quarter.

The New York Jets are 30 minutes away from making the playoffs, as they lead 27-0 at halftime against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Jets have had the ball for almost 25 minutes and already gained 190 rushing yards against the defense that had been allowing less than 90 per game.
