Geno Smith and the Jets battled all night against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday evening even to the point where they jumped out to a 21-3 lead early on in the first half of the game. Aaron Rodgers and the Pack battled back to go up a touchdown at the end of the third to complete the 18 point comeback with an 80 yard catch and run by Jordy Nelson. It seemed as though the Jets had tied the game on a 4th and 4 in Green Bay territory on a Jeremy Kerley touchdown reception from Geno Smith but the Jets inexplicably called a timeout prior to the snap to nullify the play. The Jets would eventually turn the ball over on downs and lose the subsequent game game by the final score of 31-24.

The Gang Green won their season opener yesterday, barely squeaking by the Oakland Raiders, 19-14. In a game where they pretty much dominated, Rex Ryan's team still managed to trail for most of the first half and then allowed Oakland to get within one score. It should have never been that close. The Jets faced a rookie quarterback and predictably limited the Raiders to only 11 first downs and 158 total yards.

And so it begins... another NFL season is upon us. The Jets' top offseason priority was upgrading their struggling offense. The Gang Green did just that, as they signed WR Eric Decker, RB Chris Johnson, and drafted a promising TE Jay Amaro to provide more weapons for QB Geno Smith. The defense, on the other hand, has huge holes at the cornerback position. So, according to all power rankings, the Jets are exactly where they were at the end of last season - trying to establish themselves inside the top 20.
