Just like a week ago, despite playing pretty poorly, the Jets still had a chance at the end. Just like a week ago, the Gang Green blew it. This time, however, it wasn't QB Mark Sanchez who gave this chance away. It was Rex Ryan's heralded defense that simply could not make a stop when they had to. They didn't even have to stop Tom Brady and New England's high-powered passing attack, as the Patriots just kept running, easily gaining 5-6 yards on almost every carry. The Ravens did exactly the same in the final quarter a week ago and they were as successful. Can't stop a nose bleed, Bart Scott?
CB Darrelle Revis (hamstring), OT Wayne Hunter (shin) and LB Jamaal Westerman (ankle) did not practice all week and will miss Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills. C NIck Mangold (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. LB Calvin Pace, who missed the first three games of the season due to a foot injury, was limited on Friday and is also listed as questionable. Both Mangold and Pace are expected to play.
The New York Jets have eight players on the official injury report. NT Kris Jenkins (back), DT Sione Pouha (ankle), WR Wallace Wright (hamstring) are all listed as questionable. QB Kellen Clemens (right elbow), DE Mike Devito (hamstring), RB Shonn Greene (rib), LB Bryan Thomas (ankle), LB Jamaal Westerman (quadricep) are listed as probable.

Later today, by 4pm to be precise, all NFL teams will be required to cut down their rosters sizes to 75 players. Then, the really big purge will come on September 5th, when all teams will be required to trim their rosters down to 53 players. The New York Jets currently have 75 players on their roster, so don't expect any cuts today. 22 players, however, will be gone before this week is over.

Both CB Darrelle Revis and FB Tony Richardson are back in practice this morning after missing several sessions due to injuries. NT Kris Jenkins and C NIck Mangold, however, are both out with respectively calf and knee injuries. According to head coach Rex Ryan, Mangold may "miss a practice or two", while Jenkins is "progressing."
