The New York Jets have declared QB Erik Ainge, CB/KR Justin Miller, LB Vernon Gholston, LB Ryan Fowler, LB Kenwin Cummings, OG Matt Slauson and DE Ropati Pitoitua and QB Kevin O'Connell inactive for today's game against the New England Patriots. Kevin O'Connell is #3 emergency quarterback as he was in the first game against New England in Week 2.

The New York Jets have declared CB Ahmad Carroll, RB Danny Woodhead, QB Erik Ainge, CB Justin Miller, QB Kevin O'Connell, OG Matthew Slauson, LB Ryan Fowler, LB Vernon Gholston inactive for Week 10. Erik Ainge is #3 emergency quarterback.
CB Lito Sheppard will not start on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars despite being able to fully participate in all practice sessions this week. Head coach Rex Ryan said that "Even though he’s practiced fully, I don’t think Lito’s all the way back yet. We’ll evaluate and see how much he plays. I think we’ll start Dwight Lowery." So, CB Dwight Lowery, who has started in 4 games this season, will start again against Jacksonville.

The New York Jets have signed KR/CB Justin Miller to replace injured RB Leon Washington on kickoff returns. Miller, 25, was drafted by the Jets in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He spent the first three years of his career with the Gang Green before being waived on November 11, 2008 and replaced by CB Ty Law. Justin Miller returned three kickoff for touchdowns during his career in New York and then added two more in 2008 for the Oakland Raiders. Miller went to the Pro Bowl in 2006 when he returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and averaged 28.3 yards per return.

Head coach Rex Ryan has announced that both CB Lito Sheppard and CB Donald Strickland are going to miss Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. Both players got injured two weeks ago against the Patriots. Sheppard has a quadriceps injury, while Strickland is out with a high ankle sprain.

It's now official that both CB LIto Sheppard and CB Donald Strickland will not play on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. CB Dwight Lowery will start in place of Sheppard, while CB Drew Coleman will replace Strickland at nickel.
