The New York Jets concluded their 3-day mini-camp on Thursday with a 2-hour practice session. The weather once again could have been better but the team nevertheless chose to practice outside to the delight of a few hundred fans.
Both MLB David Harris and QB Kellen Clemens left today's practice session early but for different reasons... Harris took S Jim Leonhard's helmet to the mouth while being on the sidelines. Initially it was reported that Harris lost some teeth, but head coach Rex Ryan did not confirm that during his press conference later. Clemens ran off the field about 15 minutes before the practice ended as his wife is expecting.
The New York Jets have announced that the team will hold five practices over three days of the full-squad minicamp June 9-11. These practices will be open to the fans and media. Tuesday and Wednesday, June 9-10, will be two-a-day sessions, with the practices set to start tentatively at 10:25 a.m. and 3:55 p.m. Thursday, June 11, will be a morning practice only, set to start at 10:25 a.m.
