PK Nick Folk is back with the New York Jets for at least another season. Folk, who was an unrestricted free agent, was re-signed to a 1-year deal. Folk joined the Jets in 2010 after spending the first three years of his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys. Last season he converted 21 of 27 field goal attempts, which was his highest percentage since joining the Gang Green.

The New York Jets released NT Sione Po'uha this morning, clearing up an additional $3.83M of salary cap space. Pouha, who signed a 3-year deal before the 2012 season, was due to have his $4.9M base salary become fully guaranteed on March 15. This move most likely means that the Jets are going to re-sign DL Mike DeVito and move him into Po'uha's position.

NT Kenrick Ellis (knee), NT Sione Po'uha (low back), RB Bilal Powell (shoulder) and S Eric Smith (knee) are all listed as doubtful for the upcoming game against the New England Patriots. Although it's pretty certain that Powell won't suit up on Sunday. WR Clyde Gates (shoulder), C Nick Mangold (ankle), and RB Joe McKnight (ankle) are listed as questionable. Despite being listed as questionable, McKnight missed practice again on Friday and his status will be a game time decision. S LaRon Landry (heel), who missed Thursday's practice, returned to full participation Friday and was listed as probable.
The New York Jets re-signed LB Bryan Thomas, who suffered a season ending injury last season, to a 1-year veteran's minimum. Thomas, 32, is the longest-tenured Jet who was drafted by the Gang Green in the first round in 2002. Once labeled a "bust", he never lived up to expectations of being the next John Abraham but did develop into a solid outside linebacker who started in 74 games since 2006. Thomas is a solid run defender and the Jets' perimeter run defense struggled without him last season.

If this was a sign of the things to come, then sky is the limit for this Jets team, as they finally played a complete game on offense, defense and special teams. Going into the game against the Bills as 2.5-point underdogs, the Gang Green left their opponents absolutely no chances, totally dominating the contest from start to finish. The Bills, who had one of the best offensive units in the league, were limited to under 300 total yards and under 100 yards on the ground.

The New York Jets signed NT Howard Green to fill in NT Kris Jenkins' spot on the roster. Jenkins, who suffered a season ending injury on Monday against Baltimore, will be replaced in the starting lineup by DT Sione Pouha, while Green will serve as Pouha's backup. According to various sources, Green signed a 2-year contract.
NT Kris Jenkins tore his ACL last night against the Baltimore Ravens and will miss the entire season. This is exactly the same injury that he suffered last season. Jenkins injured his knee in the first quarter.
The New York Jets have eight players on the official injury report. NT Kris Jenkins (back), DT Sione Pouha (ankle), WR Wallace Wright (hamstring) are all listed as questionable. QB Kellen Clemens (right elbow), DE Mike Devito (hamstring), RB Shonn Greene (rib), LB Bryan Thomas (ankle), LB Jamaal Westerman (quadricep) are listed as probable.
