The New York Jets announced that they signed 41-year old veteran QB Vinny Testaverde to serve as a backup to QB Brooks Bollinger.
Testaverde spent 6 seasons with the Jets, throwing 76 TDs and 52 INTs. In 1998 he helped the Jets win the AFC East and reach the AFC Championship Game. Last season Testaverde played for the Dallas Cowboys where he threw for 3,532 yards, 17 TDs, 20 INTs.
Additionally, the Jets are expected to sign another quarterback by the end of the day.
