The New York Jets released C Kevin Mawae, a 5-time Pro Bowler during his 8 seasons with the Jets.
This move was pretty much expected, as the Jets are trying to save as much salary cap space as possible and revamp their offensive line.
Mawae, 35, who played in every game during his first seven seasons with the Jets, missed 10 games last season due to a torn tricep.
