Injuries

Sheppard back in practice, Edwards will play on Monday

Injured CB Lito Sheppard practiced for the first time in two weeks this morning. He has missed the last two games with a quadriceps injury. CB Donald Strickland, who has also missed the last two games with an ankle injury, did not practice. OT Damien Woody did not practice either and his availability for the Monday Night game is a question mark. He suffered an ankle injury against the Saints. Another player who got injured on Sunday, rookie RB Shonn Greene, participated in the practice session as well.

Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum stated that WR Braylon Edwards, acquired from the Browns this morning, would make his Jets debut on Monday against the Miami Dolphins. "Sometimes a fresh start does a lot of people good," said Tannenbaum. "We can look at (tackle) Wayne Hunter and Kris Jenkins. I think they came here and they exceeded our expectations with a fresh start." Edwards is expected to arrive at the Florham Park complex Wednesday afternoon.
