Jets surge in power rankings

Admin - October 5, 2010

All three major sports websites are finally in agreement - the New York Jets are a force to be reckoned with. Following their third divisional win in a row, the Gang Green surged in power rankings. ESPN moved them up to #4 (from #7 a week ago), FOX Sports placed the Jets at #3 (#9 last week), and finally CBS Sports, who usually rank the Jets lower than the other websites, put them at #3 as well (from #11 a week ago).

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  As good as the Jets' offense has been the past three weeks, it will get even better with the debut of Santonio Holmes.

FOX Sports: It's remarkable how well second-year QB Mark Sanchez has played over the last few games when you consider how poorly he played in the preseason. It will be interesting to see if he can sustain his success. One thing is for certain, the Jets are the class of the AFC East.

CBS Sports: After the opening-night loss to the Ravens, they've ripped through the AFC East, beating all three teams. They are playing well on both sides of the ball.
