Jets drop out of top 3 in power rankings

Admin - November 2, 2010

As expected, all three top sports websites lowered the Jets' stock as a result of their rather embarrassing loss against the Green Bay Packers. The Gang Green, who were in the top two prior to Sunday's debacle, dropped 2 places in both ESPN and Fox Sports polls (from #2 to #4). Meanwhile, CBS Sports, who had the New York Jets at the top just a week ago, lowered their ranking by 5 places (from #1 to #6).

Here's what the top 3 websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN:  The Jets' coaches outwitted themselves against the Packers by adding too much during the bye week.

FOX Sports: It was a bit surprising that they lost to the Packers at home considering the injury issues that team has been dealing with all season. Perhaps the Jets aren't as good as we thought they were? Considering the Jets were coming off their bye, it's not a particularly good sign. When their running game struggles as it did last week, they're going to have trouble winning.

CBS Sports: Coming off their bye, one thing that has to be better is Mark Sanchez and his completion percentage. At just over 55 percent, his completion rate won't cut it if they are to be a Super Bowl team.
