CB Antonio Cromartie, who intercepted two passes in Sunday's win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, has been named AFC Defensive Player of the Week. After struggling in Week 1 against the Cowboys, when he gave up two touchdown passes, Cromartie rebounded against Jacksonville.

The first interception came in the 2nd quarter when Jacksonville was driving deep into the Jets' territory. Cromartie picked it off at the Jets' 3-yard line and returned for 37 yards. Then, in the 3rd quarter, Cromartie picked off another pass, this time at the Jags' 28-yard line. He returned it to Jacksonville's 1-yard line, setting up a touchdown two plays later.
