Jets fall again in power rankings

Admin - November 28, 2012

The New York Jets dramatically improved their position in power rankings after beating the Rams in Week 11, but last week's disgraceful performance against the Patriots put them pretty much back where they were a few weeks ago. Although ESPN, CBS Sports and ProFootball Weekly were in a forgiving mode, as they all lowered the Gang Green's stock by just one point. FOX Sports placed the Jets at #23, down from #20 a week ago. Finally, ProFootballTalk put Rex Ryan's team at #29, down from #22 a week ago, their lowest ranking since we started tracking them here.

Here's what all these websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN: Scoring average for past four games: 12 points. Mark Sanchez's guaranteed salary for next season: $8.25 million.

FOX Sports: I don't think he is the answer, but why not start Tim Tebow at this point? It can't really get any worse, can it?

CBS Sports: How many heads will roll after the season? Somebody has to pay for this mess, right? They didn't even compete last week.

ProFootballTalk: Before we bury the 2012 Jets, look at their remaining schedule.

ProFootballWeekly: Somehow increased scrutiny with comical Thanksgiving performance.
