Jets remain in top 20 despite losing in Buffalo

Admin - November 20, 2013

This might come as a surprise but the debacle in Buffalo did not have that much effect on the Gang Green's position in power rankings. Apparently, the pundits expect Rex Ryan's team to bounce right back up in the following week, just like they have throughout the season. ESPN lowered the Jets' position by 4 spots, from #12 to #16. FOX Sports placed the Jets at #15, down 3 spots from a week ago. ProFootballTalk was the harshest, moving the Gang Green 5 positions down, from #11 to #16. CBS Sports, on the other hand, was the most forgiving one - from #14 to #15. CNN SI failed to produce their power rankings this week again.

Here's what all these websites had to say about the Jets:

ESPN: The Bills had three drives start inside the Jets' 35-yard line (10 points). Jets opponents have started 12 drives this season inside the Jets' 35-yard line, second most in the league.

FOX Sports: W, L, W, L, W, L, W, L, W, L. Please keep your seatbelt fastened and your arms and legs inside the Genocoaster at all times.

CBS Sports: That is a major gag at Buffalo. If you are truly a playoff contender, you can't lose that game.

ProFootballTalk: Rex Ryan could soon have plenty of time to spend at Dave & Buster's.
