The best places to watch New York Jets games

Admin - October 20, 2021

The 2021 NFL season kicked off last month with defending Super Bowl LV champions Tampa Bay taking down the Dallas Cowboys at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Now, games are in full swing, and the New York Jets are amping up to leave their worst season since 1996 behind. With a new coach, a new quarterback, and a rough start in week one against the Carolina Panthers, will the Jets be able to pull it together in the coming weeks?

Hopefully, by the end of the 2021 season, die-hard fans of the green and white won't be saying "same old Jets". There are still plenty of opportunities for the Jets to turn it around, and for those who are still optimistic--or believe that misery loves company--catching a game at a casino-resort or a top-notch sports bar might be the best thing you do all season. Here are some of the best places to watch the upcoming New York Jets Games.

Fubo Sportsbook Lounge

If you're a Jets fan following the world of sports betting, you may have already heard about this one. Many brick-and-mortar operators in New York state, like the ones found here on Capital OTB Menands sportsbook review, have provided sports betting on horse racing for years. But in 2019 New York lawmakers voted to legalize in-person sports betting and in 2021 mobile sports betting followed. Debuting for the 21-22 NFL season, MetLife Stadium will host the Fubo Sportsbook Lounge bringing the first mobile sports betting lounge to the Meadowlands.

A New Twist on an Old Classic

Fubo Sportsbook's partnership with the New York Jets is their first official sponsorship of a professional sports team. Bringing nearly 7,000 square feet of casino-style sportsbook to fans over 21, the Fubo Sportsbook Lounge will offer live mobile betting, a patio view of the Jets on their home field, and broadcasts of other NFL games from around the world.

Resorts World Catskills

In New York State, there’s just a handful of casino locations where you can make sports wagers in-person, and Resorts World Catskills in Monticello is one of them. Until mobile sports betting becomes available, those downstate don't have a ton of sports betting options that don't involve crossing state lines. Resorts World Catskills is only an hour and a half away from Manhattan and offers a huge variety of entertainment, promotions, and gaming options. For game day enthusiasts who want to get away, this is the perfect escape.

A Vacation Venue

This October, you can watch the Jets go up against the New England Patriots and place your bets at Sportsbook 360, the 6,000 square foot sports betting bar in Resorts World Catskills. With a 9'x16' high-definition screen and 32 extra-large flatscreen televisions circling the center of the bar, it's the perfect place to catch every second of the big game. You can grab a victory meal (or a consolation snack--Patriots are favored to take week 7) at Italian Steakhouse, Cellaio, or the newly reopened cantina-style Dos Gatos.

Take a Dive

Sometimes the best place to catch the game is just somewhere where you can meet up with other fans and all chant "J-E-T-S! J-E-T-S!" together and drink cheap beer: a dive bar. Whiskey Rebel, Sally's Bar, and Dive Bar in NYC, New York, have all been popular places at one time or another for Jets fan groups to meet up and get together for the game. Whether you're celebrating or suffering, it can be nice to do it with people who understand. After all, Jets fans are some of the most loyal and optimistic people you'll ever meet. They’d have to be, to still be waiting for another championship win 52 years later. But it could be worse; we could be Buffalo Bills Fans.

Staying at Home

For the fans who are chronic homebodies and pandemic-conscious fans who want to play it safe at home, there's plenty of ways to check out the Jets this season from your couch. There’s always cable, but streaming services are sometimes a much more affordable and more accessible way to watch shows, movies, and your favorite football team.

Dreaming of Streaming

At just $10 for the first month, Vidgo is a low-cost streaming service with access to both NFL and NCAA football games. There’s also Hulu + LiveTV and FuboTV, which both offer live channels and have a 7-day free trial. SlingTV, Paramount+, YouTubeTV, NFL Game Pass, and Amazon Prime all also stream NFL content with a variety of features.
