Bob Sutton needs to be fired ASAP. This is almost getting ridiculous, I know a midseason firing is a little uncommon for a winning team but what are the chances we do this? Sutton has got to be the worst defensive play caller. hes constantly puttin his defense in horrible situations, and that prevent defense was almost sickning to watch. Putting 3 men on the line and puttin everyone back is not going to work. Prevent defense is for cowards, and thats just what Sutton is plus an idiot. We are not guna be considered an elite team if we keep this retard callin our defensive plays. And its not just this game, its been all season long.

I think it was fine until the last play (or two).

Believe it or not -- everyone plays it that way. You cant let a team with no timeouts get behind you -- end of story.

Only real issue was putting Law on Moss 1 on 1 at the end of the game. Whether it was Law's decision to give him a cushion or the coaches, that was just horrible. Otherwise I don't see much fault in his gameplan today. The Patriots simply did a great job of picking up our blitzes, especially in the second half.

+100000000000! This should have been a loss. That second half was disgraceful. This team, and in particular, the coaching staff cannot adjust. The offensive play calling wasn't much better. Too predictable. What ever happened to the play action?

How randy moss ended up in single coverage on the last play is beyond me, but at least we pulled it out.

I really have a problem with the whole scheme of the defense throughout the game. I don't remember one time where the Jets ever rushed more than 4 guys. Except for a couple of plays, Cassell generally had all time to throw back there. No wonder he was able to throw for 400 yards.

I don't think that was such a bad play. It wasn't like Law didn't have him covered. It was just a great play by Cassell to avoid the rush, make a good throw, and a great catch by Moss. I have more of a problem with his other 385 yards through the air.

We just swept the division on the road, we drove the ball down their throat in OT for a win, a win is a win

I loved how Jenkins reacted when Lowery missed the INT in the last few minutes...he got pissed and then promptly erupted on the Patsies. We gotta find ways to keep him PISSED on the field.

Thats why David Harris is a difference maker. Those dumpoffs dont go for so much with him being healthy or even playing. Bowens has been very nice but Harris is just an all around beast.

By the way Law did a real great job on Moss, he was physical the whole time, and actually had great coverage at the end, that was an incredible pass and just as good of a catch. As for the prevent everyone would play it the same adn not let anyone get behind them. We just needed someone to step up and make a play.

Win is good and all but...

    1. When the running game is clearly working, why is Schotty going back to throw-throw-throw-punt mode?

    2. 3rd and 2 - and shotgun? Somebody shoot that idiot.

    3. Win is a win is a win - no doubt. But 400 yards passing yards allowed won't cut it come playoff. Sutton, wake up, and wake up NOW.

Well 400 yards passing but we played Prevent D most the fucking game and 3rd and 2 shot gun i didn't mind it made them think about Leon out of the back field but Shotty confuses me sometimes and Sutton is a fucking psycho.

Correct me if I am wrong but did we convert any 3rd downs on the ground. The running game could not bounce anything wide. The run was getting blown up between the tackles after the first half.

    Response:
    1) I don't believe that there was ever a series that the Jets had three passes in a run leading to a punt. Just because the Jets hit a lull in the third quarter doesn't mean it's the coaching staff's fault.

    2) Maybe Favre likes the shotgun / empty backfield. During the game they mentioned that Favre lead the league in that formation last year as well.

    3) Agreed about the defense.

    1. Gimme a fucking break, Jones had 30 carries. Shut up. They, for once, ran the ball consistently all game.

    2. Schottenheimer called a good game. The game was ruined with the loss of momentum by starting to play prevent defense IN THE SECOND QUARTER

    3. I agree lol
