I don't agree with your post. But I am in love with your avatar. Who is that? We dominated in the first half and then we outsmarted ourselves (coaching wise in the second half) but we persevered and beat them in their house. Ibnjury or no injury they are the best coached team in the NFL and we beat them in front of the world.

Speaking of injured team. Does anybody know how Ellis was? He was ok right?

Also, did they have any big injuries? I saw some but I don't think anybody was hurt too bad.

What kills me is our pass D. First JaMarcus Russell, then Tyler Thigpen, now Matt Cassel. Opposing QB's keep having career games against us.

Cassel has been playing pretty damn solid football lately, so give the man some credit.

But.....we won biatches. When the Jets needed points, they got 'em.

I'm perfectly aware of what flagellation means, and I chose that word with deliberate purpose.

What I don't know is what you mean by saying I don't ...

She's our "Gameday Hostess" Jenn Sterger. :p

I rather people be talking about how well we played as opposed to how well coached the Pats are.... We'll still get ripped by the likes of Deion Sanders, and half of you will be bitching about how people like him show us no respect....

The Jets are ranked within the top 10 on most power rankings. Of course that win isn't going to vault them into the top 3 or anything. The best teams in this league finish games and win them, they don't blow leads and sweat out wins against a backup QB.

If we beat the Titans, even barely, that'll be enough though. That'd probably land us in the top 5, maybe even get us to #1, because it'd be a huge win.

We are biased here, but you've got to step back and try and rank teams objectively, if you do that, I just don't think you can say the Jets are a true elite team right now. Maybe we can get there, and we have faith in our team, but you can't kill someone who has to answer to the entire NFL fanbase for not being on our jock.

Exactly where do you see self-flagellation in my post? Just curious.

No idea when/if you'll reply again. I'm about to go to sleep and honestly, I'll probably never see this thread again.... So, I'll just say that I never ripped the team. I'm not calling for the head of all our coaches. I didn't say any of our players sucked. I simply pointed out that this narrow victory over a seriously injured team, will not garner the respect from sports show 'experts' that a more convincing win would of. I see no flagellation there.

I agree. No way we see #1 on a power ranking without winning the Super Bowl first.

This is so much BS. A win is a win. We don't determine what team they field. We won on the road in a tough stadium. Wake up and smell the Super Bowl!

That's because they're all dreamy about another pretty boy Patriots QB. I think Chris Collingsworthless wants to give the guy a hummer, and I don't mean an SUV. Whooptie do, Matty Cassel threw for umpteen hundred hards. Of course, because he had all day in the pocket and they couldn't run the ball. Patriots lost... Patriots lost... damn that has a nice ring to it!

True...i cant count how many times an opposing QB has had a 'great' game against them and lost...that was the difference tonight they were the ones chasing the game and came up short...

    Just a great win...
