draft compensation for Favre trade going up

    Brett Favre-QB- Jets Nov. 19 - 10:57 am et

    The Packers' draft pick compensation for Brett Favre is up to a third rounder -- and rising.

    It started out as a conditional fourth-rounder, but Favre reached the third-round trigger at 50% playing time. It jumps to a second-rounder if Favre hits 70% and the Jets make the playoffs, which looks likely. A Jets Super Bowl would make it a first-rounder.

    So far, the deal is working out nicely for both sides.

    No matter what we give up, it'll be the most worth it if Favre comes back and plays for us again next year.

    ^^^even if favre retires -again- looking north to NE gives us at least SOME home that ratti can get the job done

    id take a super bowl over favre coming back. if he manages to win another one i cant see him coming back.

    That's fine with me, a conditional pick was the way to go. Same thing is happening with Vilma on the Saints, these things tend to all come out in the wash. We took Gholston with the #6 overall, would you trade that right now for even a year of Favre? I would.

    We are not in the playoffs yet, so for now, it is just a 3rd rounder. While Favre is going to play more than 70%, our work is still cut out for us to make the playoffs.

    Remember the McGuire Curse...................

    As it stands now what is it looking like we are going to get for Vilma. I remember the mass confusion when they did the trade. Is like a 3rd?
