Playoff Ticket News It has come to our attention that there is some confusion with this years Playoff invoices. This week you will be receiving Playoff invoices in the mail. The invoice is also available online. The invoice will contain prices for the Wildcard, Divisional, and Championship games. As a season ticket holder you should ONLY pay for the Divisional and Championship events. These events are 08DIVIS, 08CHAMP, 08DPK, 08CPK. Full payment is due on or before December 15, 2008 in order to secure your playoff ticket request. If you are paying by check your playoff payment should include 2 games, the divisional game and the championship game, and any associated parking. If you are paying by credit card the invoiced amount is correct. If the first game is a wildcard game instead of a divisional game, a credit will be issued to your season ticket account for the difference. If you have any further trouble reading the invoice please call the Jets ticket office @ 973-549-4600. 1 Jets Drive | Florham Park, NJ 07932 | Phone973) 973-4600 | Fax (973) 549 - 4610
Well, they do this every year we get close to the playoffs. If it becomes apparent that we have a chance to be in them, they invoice you. It used to be though, that if we didn't play one of the games, they gave you the option of either crediting your account OR MAILING YOU A CHECK BACK. Now it kinda looks like they'll just credit your account for next year, which kinda sucks because I won't have the use of the money.
I got my e mail as well but correct me if im wrong, now the email states if the jets have to play a wild card game which can very easily happen they will credit the difference to our account. Ok what happens if the jets play the wild card WIN divisional WIN and AFC championship. Will they re bill us for the remaining balance for the AFC championship???
Sounds to me like they want all the money up front but won't give it back. Only credit your account for next year (assuming you even keep your tickets then). Great way to make a few more million on the float. What scumbags they have become.
Bah...yes, it is impossible. You can't host a wild card game. Ever. You could play the first two games on the road and then play the championship at home if both WCs won out and you were the highest seeded.
Yeah. They're basically saying they're invoice you for the Divisional Game and Championship Game. Parking also. So the stubs are going to look like this: 08DIVIS, 08CHAMP = Game Tickets for Div and Champ 08DPK, 08CPK = Parking Stubs for Div and Champ Then, if the Jets only play in the W/C instead of the Divisional, they're going to credit the account next year.
Devious guy that Woody always figuring out some new way to get the fans money wayahead of time so he can use it & pay us no interest
This is about the eariest I can remember where they're already billing you... maybe I'm wrong. I may be, because the due date is 12/15, so maybe that's about right. But in the past, they always gave you the OPTION of receiving a check back or having the money credited toward next season, should the Jets not make one or both of the games. Now it doesn't appear there's the option, at least not for the refund on the difference between the Wildcard Game and the Divisional Game. You can almost assume that you won't have an option either on the entire chunk of the money it the Jets fail to appear in BOTH GAMES! That would be a sizeable chunk of dough to have sitting in Woody's coffers instead of your bank account. I don't know Champ, I've always been opposed to beating up on the owner of the team I so love to support, but anymore now, I'm in your camp. It was the PSLs that put me over the top with this guy. I'm totally fed up with the way Woody treats his loyal season ticketholders. We'll see how ridiculous that brand new, shiny, "state-of-the-art" stadium looks on game days when the Jets are 4-9 and the weather report is for ice and hail. You really think that shoelace salesmen from Des Moines is going to use the tickets he was handed as a perk? Ridiculous. We'll see how the Jets like playing in front of a stadium with 30% occupancy and half of those are out-of-towners or worse, fans of the opposing team.
My invoice is for three games, which is impossible to have. So we just pay for the latter two? That makes sense.
Right, but if that happens they are automatically away the following week if they win, like in 2002. The invoice was for all three games at home (over $800) which is not possible to have.
