Stuckey hasn't done sh1t in a while... yes he had a nice 3d down completion the other game but... I can count the number of significant catches he's had this season on one hand... lets see what Clowney can do... we know he can stretch the field at least and we definetely need that.
Hold on trigger hes onto something.Favre needs a long ball deep threat we all know he strived with them in G.B. Clowney showed us all that in preseason. Im in agreement with him.
I Think since they've started going more to Keller , Stuckey's role has been diminished but he did make a hell of a catch on 3rd and long sunday. So i wouldnt bench him.
I'm just saying, lets try a couple of games with Clowney and see how it goes. We have ZERO receivers that can go deep... zero... every deep pass we try the DB is always outrunning our WRs... its a bit embarrassing.
No, it's because all of Brett's long sideline throws look like wounded ducks as opposed to passes. Our receivers have constantly had to come back for the ball.
He threw two deep sideline passes Sunday. One was overthrown, the other was a good pass and should have been caught. Neither looked like a wounded duck.
No knock on Stuckey at all, but I agree, Clowney could use a shot at this point. The deep threat has been absolutely non-existant. Favre's long balls have looked crippled for sure, but maybe a true burner tearing down field would help him get a feel for it again. It's worth a shot - at least for one game.
wtf I need to rewatch the games to see all these wounded duck deep passes a bunch of people are talking about, because I don't remember them.
Well whats the last deep ball that you can think of where the WR was ahead of the DB and the ball hit the WR in stride?
It's not so much the way the ball looks in the air that's the problem, it's where it's ending up on the field.
What's the last time you can think of where the WR was ahead of the DB? He hit Cotch on a deep ball down the sideline Sunday and he should have caught it. He overthrew Coles on the deep ball Sunday.
