I'm pretty certain our Week 17 game will be flexed

Guys, check out the Week 17 schedule. http://www.nfl.com/schedules?seasonType=REG#Week17

NBC will move our game. It will potentially be for the division, you've got the Chad sub-plot going on... it's perfect. Also, there really isn't much else there except Dal/Phi, but I think they've reached their max of primetime games. I think this whole flex crap is unfair to the ticket holders. A lot of you, I'm sure, will be unable to go the game if they move it because of work or because your children have school the next morning. The NFL should NOT be allowed to do this. Oh well... but anyway, that's my prediction.

The only two even remotely possible alternatives would be the Cowboys@Eagles (could be a playoff game) and the Giants @ Vikings. (vikings might need the game to get in) If the cowboy/eagle game is a playoff game (and I think there is decent chance that it will be) then NBC will pick the Cowboy game hands down for ratings.

Oh. I forgot that the cowboys may have reached their max of primetime games. If that is the case, then Jets/dolphins is definately the choice.

Yeah, I just edited my post about this. lol.

Yeah, I agree with you. Jets-dolphins will be the game on sunday night or week 17. They will likely be able to call it the "AFC East Championship game".

Well the good thing is that most kids are probably on Christmas break at that time, and at least some people will be off from work, but yea it does suck for season ticket holders.

I would love a nice 1pm game. But if it's flexed to a later time, I'll still go of course.

Big win this week. Miami and/or NE will lose next week. This Jets team is a playoff team..

Hopefully that means a younger crowd, therefore a louder crowd that's less concerned about beating the traffic.

Because Pennington does so good against good teams in Primetime.

The colder the better, I find it hard to believe there will be a more important game with a better storyline. Really the NFL couldn't even dream up a better matchup with a better storyline. I now hate these primetime games with it being mid morning for me but I think this would be to our advantage.

I hope it gets flexed. This will make the other games more fun too watch also, because this game could go from do or die to just playing for home field in the WC.

I doubt the giants will be moved. That would be three sunday nights in a row. I didnt even think you could do that. Cowboys v. Eagles could trump jets v. miami.

There's a chance I may be able to fly up for the game (The proximity to xmas may make it difficult)...... flexing it to a night game would suck!

    From wiki

FOX and CBS may each protect five games for the 1 p.m. or 4 p.m. slot. However, they may not protect more than one game per week, and can not protect any games in week 17. All games in the final week of the season are subject to being moved to 8:15 p.m. Individual teams may make no more than four appearances on NBC during the season. Only three teams may make as many as six prime-time appearances (Sunday night, Monday night, and Thursday night combined)

My GF's friend works for NBC sports and tells me that the flexed game on week 17 is not up to NBC, but rather to the NFL.
