Me n my stepson watching on TV(I've brought him into the fold poor kid) we're sitting on the edge of our seats begging for a defensive stop when it happens we're jumping up and down, my wife removes the remote from my hand just in case and then we're hugging. Watching the replay I'm saying to the boy look at Ellis' eyes intense focus.

Still hate the fact we were in that position tho

This was a great play and moment to be a Jet fan. The way everything unfolded was just unbelievable. I was in the middle of texting my friend, brother and cousin watching from home how it didn't look good and we were gonna lose this game.

"This is the game right here"

Then I hear the crowd errupt. I look up and saw the sack, but I didn't know they stripped the ball from Losman. So I'm trying to catch up to what's happening I see Ellis run it for the score. I literally got bear-hugged off the ground as I'm high-fivin everyone around me. Craziness. Just utter craziness broke out.

Not to mention, Ellis laid a shoulder on Walker right before he turned to run into the endzone.

wow this thread was exactly what i was looking for. I normally watch the game in basement with my brother. But I was one of the families without power in Schenectady. I went to my grandparents house. We were watching the game with my grandpa and other relatives, when the play happened, my brother and I were jumping around screaming. My grandparents never seen that side of me, it was funny.

I was out side smoking a cig. when the play happened. I (like most fans were) was thinking the game was over. Then I walk back inside the bar and the tv was showing touchdown Jets. It was unbelievable. Did you see the look on Favre's face when Ellis scored? Awesome moment!

Ellis did make a really nice play. He should have fell on the ball, but he was determined to score. He missed the ball at first, but got it off the bounce. He then laid out a Bills player and then regained his balance and quickly changed direction and plowed his way in, aware of the sideline and his blockers the whole time, with the ball in his outside hand. Great play for someone who has never carried the ball before

I'm not going to read the 4 pages here but this isn't close to being as exciting as "The Fumble" or "The Immaculate Reception". Both of those ended the game on the spot (at least that's the way I remember them). In this case there were still more than 2 minutes left.

Heh...kinda like that Monday Night Football commercial where the guy leaves the bar during the Monday Night Miracle.

I missed the first 3 1/2 quarters because of work, but I would have been pissed if I had missed that play. Talk about an adrenaline rush..

Nor have I ever seen any of those plays live. Nor do I particularly care as much, since I'm a Jets fan, and a great Jets moment takes precedence over an all-time NFL moment.

ya nobody said that... and for the record, "The fumble" was not the last play of the game

Someone on ESPN was comparing it to "the fumble" last night.

Agreed. I can think of several plays from Jet games over the years that were much more exciting to me than either of those plays. I dont think i saw the Fumble live, but I vaguely recall listening to it on the radio. Maybe i was in a car at the time.

I did see the IR live on TV, since it was a playoff game. It was confusing and crazy at the time it happened, but since i didnt have a strong rooting interest in the game, I wasnt jumpng up and down about it (I might have even been rooting for the Raiduhs, as they were the original AFL team in the game).

Just found this on the fumble- its a good read, not too long.

actually now that i think about it... this definately compares to the fumble. our season was on the line,. all they had to do was run out the clock... ball bounced right into his hands...
