Of course not Winston. But my reply was to a suggestion of a "Chad curse" which is in the same category.
and with the 199th pick, Jets select Ghernon Volston, QB, Ohio State! 6 years later, Volston is seen wearing 5 super bowl rings...
Not happening...The world will only come to an end if we lose...atleast thats how this board will react.
If Mangini can't overcome a Brady-less division, then he doesn't deserve to be running an NFL football team.
Good point, I can see that happening. Imagine all the great Chad vs. Brett debates that will come up. Let's hope it does not come to that.
Those debates will never end even after Favre retires and Brett Jnr. starts for Jets. If Favre wins, he's the best. If Penny somehow wins, Favre was a mistake...u see where Im going.
Don't believe what you hear the Pats are known for lying about there players injuries. Now how we can really tell if all this Brady stuff is real is at the end of the season to see how much money they threw at Matt Cassel. If they throw big money at him then they are worried about Brady.
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_contract.aspx?sport=Nfl&id=3237 Yeah that would be very important. So far they have offered him nothing. He's a free agent end of this yr. and will have a great value to his name. I doubt if he does good in another team though as Pats have a good Offense.
i heard he hasn't taken a snap since highschool, but that kid up in NE is a free agent after the season. maybe we can give him a shot?
Valid point. But if the Jets shore up the QB position, let's say Clemens or Ratliff has a great year next year. Then all arguments are worthless. In the end it will have worked out for all teams.
I disagree with you there. Now a RB can be good because of the system but not a QB. It not like he putting up Kerry Collins type numbers. This guy is putting up big numbers.
Until we can prove otherwise, the patriots are the better team. If we lose the division to them then it is what it is. I have no doubt that we'll have an even better team next year than we do this year and their players are over the hill, Brady might never be the same or even play for them again. I wouldn't worry about them. :gpc: it's already underway.
Look - Brady may not even be playing next season (he is way behind on his rehab, apparently), and there is still the possibility, if the right offer hits teh table, that Brady's days as a patriot could be numbered. Cassel is going to get payed by someone, and with brady's uncertainty of being able to go at the start of next season in doubt, I think the pats will want to bring him back. Brady could then very well be traded, that is, if Cassel continues to excel. I think the bigger worry is the Dolphins, long term. A decent QB, solid 1-2 punch at RB, and a stifling defense. They can only get better the next 4 seasons. Get some WR's and watch out. Jets have the talent - still need a breakaway WR, Keller needs to continue to improve, and outside of a QB after Favre (regardless if he comes back), THE DEFENSE still needs a lot of help. Sutton has t go, and Mangini needs to be on the hotseat for allowing horribly inconsisent game plans and play calling on both sides of the ball.
