    Um:

    1. Talented roster.

    2. Coaches that have been great at gameplanning for big games. We jumped out to quick leads against some damn good teams this year, and in the previous years under Mangini we played top teams tough. The Bears and Colts in '06. The Pats at all times but last years season opener.

    3. The Giants?

    2002. That's all.

You'd skip that game? That game would be fuckin sick.
Don't worry, I'm sure you're not the only Jets fan to quit on this team this week. If we make the playoffs, maybe you guys can go schedule a tea party instead.

So what you're saying is....because the Giants did it last year....who have a better team and are WELL coached by the way....we can follow that blue print.

    Holeeee F*ck!

Do you believe in Santa Claus too?

^^You must be the type of person that, if a dog pissed on your leg, you thank him for not pissing on the floor. Take a reality check, please.

yeah..but that was in mid season...when the Giants had a bad start....but they turned it around and went on their run.

The Jets did the opposite...played well in the first half....and then flubbed there way out of a possible playoff berth.

Coughlin had a chance to turn it around...and did. We don't have that option with the way the team is currently playing.

No, my memory just isn't that short.

Giants fans were up in arms last year and more than ready to fire their coaching staff. Theres a good chance Coughlin would have been fired last year if that whole Super Bowl thing didn't happen.

But you can selectively forget that to make yourself feel right. Do it all day. I really don't give a shit. I'll just keep poking holes.

they were hunting for Coughlin midway thru the season...and the Giants turned it around. How are we in the same boat? Must be that Giants turned it around part. Since we don't have that luxury.

apples and oranges dude. Or in your case....unicorns and fairies.

I have to agree with you ... It seems week after week after week we get out-coached .... Then he comes up with back to back games like NE and TENN .... Then we go back to utterly unbelievable play calling ...

Hell I loved the idea of going for it on 4th and 2 ... BUT a bomb in double coverage ???? With our season essentially on the line ... Maybe something with a slightly higher percentage of working ... I dunno ... RUN, SCREEN, SLANT ????

There was never anything good. In year one or any other year. It was a mirage.

    6-10, 11-5, 8-8, 10-6.
Lost 2 of the last 3 games in 2007. Giants were 6-2 and finished up 4-4. What exactly did they "turn around" at that point.
If he doesnt win a playoff game in 07 or maybe two he may have been fired.

Um...the Giants finished last season 10-6. They finished their last 6 games at 3-3. Hardly what I call "turning it around."

Apples to oranges my ass. Keep going. I enjoy poking holes in your arguments.

And how is turning it around a luxury?

Your arguments just get worse and worse, and no one's going to notice because the Jets lost yesterday.

They had clinced before the last game and he played the NE game for all the marbles. They lost that game but went toe to toe with them for 60 minutes instead of resting his players for the playoffs. That game set up the entire run and was a decision by the coaching staff.

i said we DON'T have that luxury, dummy...maybe read the post before you start spreading your bullshit.

oh...you don't like 3-3 down the stretch and making the playoffs....but, you're all about the (1-3) the Jets pulled off and piss away the playoffs. Maybe you should do us all a favor...and STFU....seriously. You're the most clueless guy on this board. You're basically our version of RaiderJoe.

What you said is that Giants turned it around. They were 4-4 in their last 8 after going 6-2. True? If they would not have won a game or maybe two he would have been gone. Also true?

truth is, his first year he inherited a healthy Pennington< combine that with the jets coming off a 4-12 season that had an easy schedule.. they played very similar to how the dolphins are plying now.. Dont turn the ball over and dont make mistakes.. he never did anything to really make me believe he was a good coach. In the years that have followed hes proven to be arrogant jackass who doesn't know half as much as he thinks. problem is he bought into the mangenious bullshit more than anyone. mangini philosophy were going to do it my way no matter what the circumstance... hes an idiot..

I've liked Mangini up until now but yesterday he had his head up his ass. Not going for it on the first drive gave Seattle a lift after we beat them down the field for 7 minutes. Leaving the 3 on the field after Feeley just made it from 45 with plenty of cushion (and hasn't missed since October) was inexcusable, turning it over on downs in FG range with all 3 timeouts in his pocket ended the game.

They seemed to come out prepared on the first drive, which points to good preparation, but got away from what was working. Makes no sense. At this point I don't care if he stays or goes.
