Well i was a die hard Jets fan since i was 8 years old. 10 years later and all they have done for me is disappoint. Im done with this BS. Im done with the Jets and im done with football. I would never root for another team so im just not watching football anymore. No matter how much money they spend, who they bring in and who they plan they always manage to lose. I went to the game tonight and Favre sucked! I'll still roam this board but im honestly done with the Jets.
10 years?? - rookie -- 1982 here -- cousin had to marry a jet -- couldn't marry a cowboy so i could have enjoyed the 90's, the 49ers so i could enjoy the 80's, or a Patriot so I could have enjoyed the last 8 years

Like 10 years is a long time. That's nothing compared to most people on this board. You'll have to stick around much longer to get any sympathy around here.
I'll never understand threads like this. Why would anyone care if you aren't rooting for the Jets anymore, and if you're done why do you care enough to go to this site and start a thread about it?
Honestly we should start some sort of sticky for these crap whiney "i'm done with football" posts. If you didn't see this coming from about hmmm... 6 weeks ago, I don't know what team you've been watching for the past 10 years.
You do realize you have to be a minimum age of 50 to have been able to enjoy the last Jet Superbowl. You don't even know the meaning of pain yet!
I've been going to Jets games since the late 70s. Toughen up or get lost. I was thankful we had great weather today. ha
Eh what's the point of quitting as a Jet fan now? Sure every one of us would LOVE to see this team win it all and play well, but they're not right now and really haven't consistently. Do you really think other fans of other teams don't feel the same way? How about being a Lions fan? The Cardinals? The Bengals? The Browns? The Bills? I could go on and on. What's the point of saying you're not going to be back and rooting for this team? You have been for 10 years. If you were ever a real fan, you'll be back. Try taking the Jets less seriously and getting less upset. It's just a game. Is it really that big of a deal if they win or lose? So what? There are much more important and greater things in life. And if you're serious and you really are going to stop watching this team, which I doubt, good for you. There are better fans that will support the team regardless and I guess you're not one. Hey, life goes on either way and it won't change what the Jets are going to do.
i guess im just really frustrated. i just dont understand why they cant just play harder. Favre just looks like he doesn't care. Those interceptions were so careless.
