Yea, I found it very funny. :rofl2:

The mods have a tough job today. We had about as bad a collapse as you can. Our Future hall of famer played like shit during it. Our disposed of QB with no Arm won the division. Lastly, we fired our coach today. Darksiders, Trolls ,and out and out assholes will flood this board for the next 6 months.

Either way....Sutton is gone. There is no need to keep him on the staff.

Sadly, if Favre stays...he is going to lobby for Schotty to stay.

Even if it was posted on the site it's still kinda strange that he started a thread alterting us to a rumor that he heard on the board.

Hey I think the boards have been great since yesterday. The mods are doing an excellent job, as well as Petro as always.

Lots of discussion going on, lots of griping, lots of solid and constructive criticisms... very little in the way of personal attacks going on. People are genuinely talking football and that's what makes this the best Jets message board on the Internet!

I guess that would rule out Marty Schottenheimer as HC. I don't think he'd want to come to an organization who just canned his son.

To the OP's post, in Tannenbaum's interview on ESPN they asked him about the status of the assistant coaches and he said something to the effect of they are still in the process of evaluating them... so I don't think they've actually been axed yet.

it's because the franchise is finally being proactive (this includes last year's FA acquisitions).....which will fuel some great conversations/debates on this board. Good post, edge

True, but if there's one guy on the planet that understands firing, it's Marty. Fired at 14-2 and replaced with Norv Turner, fuhcryinoutloud. He must have some sense of humor left.

Tannenbaum just confirmed on WFAN that no one other than Mangini has been fired and that the rest of the CS will be addressed on a case by case basis.

If Sutton or Schottenheimer return next year I don't know if I can bring myself to watch.

I don't want anyone back from this coaching staff. They're all failures, and there ain't no bailouts in football.

there's just no way that Sutton keeps his job and Mangini gets canned.

Sutton would have to have pics of Woody and Tanny in a "lovely embrace" at a previous xmas party or something.

    WTF is that?!!

If any one of these jokers are retained, the Mangini firing will have been for naught. They better all be history including Westhoff and his late-season ST nonsense.

Sutton is not going to keep his job but I believe Schott Sr is the frontrunner for the HC job which would mean Schott JR stays on at OC .

i don't see any value in that at all....unless the team's goal is to make the playoffs and go no further.

Tannenbaum just said on WFAN: no decisions on assistant coaches have been made. The new head coach, whoever that is, will have to weigh in.
